Items #5 & #6

Ok, it's about time I wrap up this tag, so here are my final two bits of information:

  • I once fancied that I would have 14 children. I was serious.....I think. I don't know where I got the number 14, but it's better than a dozen, and it's an even number. Anyway, that was before I had 1. Now I realize that with my temperament and my little eccentricities, I'll be lucky to raise 3 or 4.
  • I love to mow the lawn. I love the smell of the cut grass. I love the way it looks. I really enjoy doing tasks where you can see the finished product. I am very particular however. I like it nice and tidy, with straight lines and sharp edges. When we were first married, Israel and I would go and do the yard for my grandmother - I had done it off and on my whole life. She has a beautiful Victorian home, with a great yard to go with it. It used to drive me crazy the way Israel would mow - he'd trace the shape of the yard and just go around and around the edge - so that if you looked at it from the sky it would look like a giant snail shell. NOOOOOOOO. We would finish our work and I would be ready to crack.

So, now I get to pick my six people. That's a challenge because I don't even know if there are six blogging people who even read my blog, but here goes:

  1. Julia - yes, I know you don't have a blog but what better way to start (it's easy).
  2. Jayne
  3. Melissa F.
  4. Patty W.
  5. Ruth G.
  6. Erin W.
  7. Jessica
  8. Tara

Okay, Okay, so that's more than six - but can you blame me? These are all people who it would be fun to know more about, so - here are the rules again:

1. The player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves - try to find 6 you haven't already posted about.
2. At the end of the post, the player tags 6 people and posts their names, and then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for the rules.

I've become quite the mowing fanatic too ever since I worked on the grounds crew at BYU for a summer. We would mow in straight crisp lines and each week the direction changed. One week we would mow north and south. The next it would be NE by SW. It was fun. In fact it was my favorite job! :-) Thanks for doing the tag. You are the bomb.
