I'm on a Bandwagon!

I'm not a person who usually reads the "hot" books that everyone is reading. I'm not sure why, but just the fact that everyone else is doing it usually turns me off to the idea. Although my husband owns the Harry Potter series, I haven't made it through one yet. I think I'm changing though. When the last Harry Potter book came out, I realized how much fun people were having being "in on the latest thing." Everyone was all hyped up and excited - it was kind of like a Holiday for them. Those of us who were not into Harry Potter kind of missed out on all the excitement. So I learned a lesson, being involved in "the latest thing" can be fun. I

t seems that one of the latest things is the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. After several trusted friends, my mom, and both my sisters told me how wonderful the books are, I started reading. And now it's official: I'm in love with Edward. I like Bella too, but I can't seem to figure out what the big deal about her is - why do all the boys in Forks seem to fall for her? She seems rather plain and boring (some of you may be thinking that I am that way, and it is true, I'm not pointing fingers just stating facts) so what's the big deal? Right now I'm half way through the third book, Eclipse - I can't wait to see what happens, and I'm excited to be in on the hype when more books come out!

Awesome Rebecca! I'm pretty much in love with Edward too. Along with a million other girls. Funny! I'm a huge fan of these awesome books. Remember this, know that you can call me when you finish Eclipse. I know that when I was done with the books it felt like I lost a really good friend or something. I was totally depressed. ha! I think it's because when you read them you get all emotionally involved and stuff. I didn't know what to do with myself for a day or so. It helped to talk to someone about the books and characters. Crazy. Maybe you won't feel the same way I did but just know you can call me anytime.

Hey you. You are anything but plain and boring and I hope that you know it. That said--- I just LOVE the twilight series. It was such a breath of fresh air to curl up to it and sail away for a couple of hours at a time. I am excited for the next one to come out!

Haven't read eclipse and the rest fo them yet, but I LOVE the Harry POtter series... I have onyl read them all once, so I need to go back through them b/c I have read them as they have come out, which would make reacing the first one like how many years ago? I don't know what happened in each book, but does that matter? You need to read them!

Terrilyn, ha ha. I didn't see your offer to talk until like two days after I finished. If only I had known that someone was willing to share my torment ;) I think I'm nearly recovered, I've started on a new book that my grandma gave me called Tending Roses - funny, it's about a granddaughter trying to deal with an eccentric grandma (she didn't know that when she gave it to me). Anyway, that's a band-aid for the pain of being done with Twilight
